Welcome to the Artisan Design Team's Blog Hop for the December Facebook projects!
You should have just arrived from Wendy's blog. If not, make sure you go back and check out the cute project she created!
We got the gorgeous Essentials Designer fabric in our Artisan box this month and I wanted to use it for one of my projects. I originally was going to do a whole quilt, but quickly realized that I wouldn't get it done in time. My mom told me about this cute little art tote that she saw and thought it would be cute to make for my boys. So I combined my quilt idea and her art tote idea.
The front of the bag was sewn together and then quilted onto the canvas. The inside has pockets that can hold pretty much anything you want. I designed it to fit ink pads and stamp sets perfectly. I am so happy with the way this art tote turned out. I was a lot of work, but totally worth it!!
This functional art tote is something that
could be used for kids or adults. It would be great to fill it full of papers,
stickers, crayons, pencils and markers for the kids. I plan on using it when I
have to take my stamping materials out and about and filled it with stamp sets,
ink pads, Big Shot framelits, scissors, buttons, adhesives, ribbon, etc. The
middle easily fits a package or two of paper. You could really fill it with
anything!
