This card with matching envelope for my brother's birthday was inspired by a card I had made before (see here). I used the Sweater Weather designer series paper and the birch looking paper from the Thankful Tablescape kit. I like using feathers on guys cards, not only are they easy to do, they look great too!
My Oma celebrated her 81st birthday this past week. Her favorite color is yellow, so I made her this mostly yellow card. I also used the new envelope punch board to make a matching envelope. I really like having a matching envelope for my cards!
This past Sunday we went to Whitemud Park and took a few family pictures. We did a family picture taking swap with our good friends - we took pictures of their family and they took pictures of ours. It worked out fabulously!!
Last night I made a really yummy bread to go with our dinner. I'm calling it Cheesy Italian bread. I mixed a bunch of recipes from Pinterest to make this super easy to make bread. We all really liked it, so I thought I would share the recipe.
Ingredients: 2 1/4 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp dry mustard powder 1 tsp garlic powder 1 cup grated cheddar cheese 3 Tablespoons of Italian Seasoning - mix all of the dry ingredients together - make a well in the center of dry ingredients and add the following: 2 eggs 2 1/2 Tbsp olive oil 1 1/4 cup buttermilk (or use 1 1/4 cups milk & 1 Tbsp white vinegar - this is what I did, I didn't have buttermilk on hand) - whisk it all together until it is mixed well - butter a loaf pan and pour batter into in Brush top with a little bit of melted butter - Bake @ 350 F for 40 mins or until a skewer or knife comes out of the middle clean
