Winnipeg: Part Three

This (very long) blog post will wrap up our time in Winnipeg...

Monday was raining again... so the kids played at home with their cousin Sophie in the morning and then in the afternoon we went to another indoor playground. After the busyness of the weekend, it was nice to have a slower day.

Tuesday afternoon, Grandpa took the boys - Michael, Jakob and Levi golfing.

After supper we went to the Assiniboine Park Nature playground. This is another favorite place of the boys.

After we played for awhile, we walked across the bridge for ice cream.

Wednesday was Jakob's birthday! We went to Stella's Cafe for brunch. Jakob loved his Maple Caramel French toast:

After brunch we went to the Zoo:

There is a whole new section at the zoo that features polar bears. We saw several polar bears.

What a cute little seal!

Part of the new polar bear exhibit, is a indoor ice and polar bear themed playground:

Zack & Sophie reading the maps, figuring out where the kangaroos are:

The highlight for Zack was the butterfly pavilion. He was so gentle and patient with the butterflies. Several landed on his finger.

The butterflies really liked Grandpa!

Jake held a few too!

After the Zoo, we went back to Grandma & Grandpa's for a birthday celebration! Dinner (& of course cupcakes!) with the family.

The 5 Bollmans great-grandkids with Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Barber.

That concludes our Winnipeg 2014 summer trip! We had a great time and so much fun!! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!
