Artisan Design Team Wednesday Wow

Welcome to this weeks Artisan Design Team blog hop! This week we are featuring the projects we shared on facebook for the month of July. Hopefully you have arrived from the wonderful Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around.

The Six-Sided Sampler has quickly become my favorite stamp set. I am so happy that it has a coordinating hexagon punch to go with it! For this scrapbook page I paired the Six-Sided Sampler with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and I love the way the two sets blend so well together. Also, I used dimensionals to pop up a few of the hexagons giving it some depth.

Thanks for stopping by today! This is our final blog post for the 2012 Artisan Design Team, thank you so much for hopping along with us this past year!!

Display Board Samples: Gorgeous Grunge 4

The last sample from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set is a "Hello" banner. This was definitely my favorite 3D project out of all the 3D's that I did for the display boards.

I used Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Summer Starfruit and Champagne Glimmer as my colors.

Each piece had the same colors, but different details, here is close up of each section:

Thanks!! Check back next week for "Hello Lovely" samples!

Display Board Samples: Gorgeous Grunge

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be sharing my Convention 2013 display board samples with you. We were asked to create several samples using a variety of stamp sets. My favorite out of all the sets we received, was Gorgeous Grunge, so I'm going to start with the projects I created with that set.

First up is a scrapbook page of Zack. Just like this scrapbook page, Zack is wild and fun! I stamped the background with the splatters from the set and then used the other images to make little flags for the banner.

Each of the banners is sewn on, across the tops of all the flags.
I added some washi tape, lots of ribbon and a bakers twine pom pom for extra color.

A Simply Pressed clay button and a Cute Clip for the side.

Thanks for stopping by. See you next week for more display board creations!

Before & After: The Basement TV Room

This spring we also decided to redo our basement TV/playroom area. It ended up taking a lot longer than we had anticipated. All we wanted to do was repaint the walls and do touch ups on the trim. Then we were going to sell some old furniture and move around what we currently have. That was the plan.... until our sump pump stopped working and our basement had a minor flood. Enough damage that we had to replace all the underlay, dry out the cement and get the carpet sanitized and cleaned in that room. It was quite the headache. Luckily, before the water issue, we had moved all the toys and furniture upstairs, so nothing but the carpet/underlay got damaged.

So here we are 10 weeks later, finally finished!

Here are the (messy) before pictures:

Here are the finished basement pictures, I am sooo happy to have it all done!

All of the furniture, other than the TV unit & ottoman, were items we already had. I still have a few decorative items that I need to get to finish it off. We also did a few DIY projects -my Mom and I recovered an Ikea ottoman with fabric that I love (the grey chevron) and Michael made the white mirror above the couch.

It is so nice not to be constantly stepping on toys all the time. The boys have one bookshelf where they can keep a few toys and they have this chalkboard they can draw on as well. All of their other toys were moved upstairs to the bonus room.

Artisan Design Team Wednesday Wow

Thank you for joining me today for this weeks Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Hopefully you have arrived from the amazing Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around.

I love the hexagon punch that we received in our box this month! Along with the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set, it's so easy to put together a card or a scrapbook page.
I made this page of my cuties at the lake, using the Natural Composition DSP, the Color Collection DSP's, the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set and a color combination of Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight & Night of Navy.

I dyed the Whisper White Bakers Twine with the Night of Navy re-inker. After it was thoroughly dry, I formed the word "love" and attached it to my layout.

As my term on the Artisan Design Team winds down at the end of July, I want to say thank you to everyone who has followed my blog this past year. I have enjoyed being on Stampin' Up!'s 2012-13 Artisan Design team, it was a wonderful experience!
I decided not to submit my work and enter for this coming year. I am excited to see who the top 10 will be this year and look forward to seeing what the team creates!

Thank you for joining us again and hopping with us! Now onto Cindy's blog, her work is always so beautiful!

Week at the Lake

The boys and I just spent a great week at the lake! We had amazing weather and we were outside the whole time. Even though I took a lot of pictures, there were a few things I missed - like playing mini-golf, riding bikes, lots of swimming, swimming to the yellow raft, playing with friends, and so much more. It was an action packed week!

Playing croquet on the lawn:

The boys were in the water most of the time. Molly with Zack, Levi and their friend Ben:

What a great week!! The boys and I love this week that we spend at the lake every year!

Artisan Design Team Wednesday Wow

Thank you for joining me today for this weeks Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! Hopefully you have arrived from the oh-so talented Wendy Weixler's blog. If not, keep clicking on the button at the bottom of each blog post and hop to work your way back around.

This week is all about the butterfly! One of the items we received in this months box was the Butterfly Collection wheel. I love butterflies, so I was very excited to work with this beautiful image.
This first card is a combo of Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Natural Composition DSP and a little bit of silver Glimmer paper. The saying is from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set, Black Stazon works best on the Natural Composition DSP :)

Up next, I used the wheel with Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana & Night of Navy. I wanted to fit as many butterflies as I could on the front of this card. The saying is stamped on vellum, so that you can still see the butterflies. I love this new Chevron ribbon, I have it in a few colors already and it is my favorite ribbon to work with! One of the Night of Navy butterflies (top right) got a little Dazzling Details added to it.

Thank you for joining us again and hopping with us! Now onto Cindy's blog, her work is always so beautiful!
