Las Vegas & the Hoover Dam
Thursday morning we packed up and left Palm Springs. We wanted to take our time driving home, so we decided to stop in Las Vegas for a night. First stop, the Hoover Dam!
We started out by walking across the new bridge. It's huge!
The view was pretty amazing, you could see the whole area.
We walked along the side of the Hoover Dam and read all the info. The boys enjoy looking and reading about the engineering of it all.
It was pretty hot outside, too!
We walked across the dam from the Nevada side to the Arizona side.
It's a very beautiful area!
After we were done at the Hoover Dam we drove to Las Vegas. We checked into our hotel and then went on the High Roller. (The High Roller is a 550 foot tall giant Ferris wheel that overlooks the Las Vegas strip.)
The boys loved to see across Las Vegas and all the different hotels on the strip. The High Roller has the best view of the area!
After the High Roller we went out for dinner and then walked down the strip to the M&M store. It was a pretty late night!

Palm Springs: Tahquitz Canyon Hike
Wednesday morning we went on a hike with friends to the Tahquitz Canyon. It was such a pretty hike! The path was easy to walk and there was lots to see.
There were a few "look-out" spots along the way:
You could see a lot of Palm Springs from this rock:
In the middle of the loop was a waterfall:
and a few fun climbing spots:
On the way back we stopped for a little rest:
We all enjoyed this fun hike!

Palm Springs - Week Four
Our last week in Palm Springs...
On Easter Sunday we went to the early service at church. After the service there was an egg hunt and the Easter Bunny to take pictures with:
Then we went out for brunch to the Broken Yolk with Grandma & Grandpa and the Jervis'. All of our meals were so yummy! Jakob got the chicken and waffles:
Then back to our house for a swim. Lots of boys in that pool!
Wednesday was Grandma & Grandpa's last day in Palm Springs. Tuesday night they came over for supper and to spend a little time with the boys :)
Lots of pool time and popsicles our last few days.
Our last day in the sunshine.
In the morning we went for a hike in the Tahquitz canyon with the Jervis'. It was a great hike!
In the afternoon we went for one more swim before packing up and getting ready to go the next morning.
We had a wonderful month in Palm Springs!

Palm Springs - Cabazon Dinosaurs
When we drive into Palm Springs there are these huge dinosaurs that you can see from the highway. I checked into it and there were really mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a try anyway.
Well... it turned out it was pretty fun! The boys really liked the HUGE dinosaurs and activities in the park.
Cute little dino, just cracked out of his shell :)
