Jakob's Family Birthday Party

On Sunday we celebrated Jakob's 10th birthday with the Hermann/Linke side of our family. I made a banner for across the fireplace of Jakob at each year from 1-10. It's amazing how much he has changed and grown up over the last 10 years. I can't believe it's been 10 years since we were blessed with our little 7lb, 6oz - Jakob Michael.

Happy 10th Birthday Jakob!!

Michael and Jordan started the party out with birthday bumps!

Jakob's Diving Camp

Jakob just finished a week of diving camp. He absolutely loved it! He loved it so much that I enrolled him in the Diving Club for the fall.

For being his first time taking diving lessons, Jake did really well. He swims like a fish and has always been interested in diving, so this was a good fit for him.

Great job Jakob! He is looking forward to doing flips off the 3m springboard - one day...

Display Board Samples: Gingham Garden 3

I have 4 projects to share with you today :)

These are the last 2 cards using the Gingham Garden product suite. Both cards use the Gingham Garden Washi tape. I love the washi tape! It's one of my favorite products!

For my 3D project, I made a gift bag with the Wildflower Meadow stamp and some more of the Gingham Garden Washi tape!

Also, a gift box with the Gingham Garden Designer Series paper and the Wildflower Meadow stamp.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out all of my Convention 2013 display board projects!

Display Board Samples: Gingham Garden 2

Both card samples today are from the Gingham Garden product suite.

This first card uses the Wildflower Meadow embossing folder. I embossed it on Rose Red Coredinations card stock, then sanded it to get that "worn" look.

On this card I used the Gingham Garden Washi Tape. I cut each piece to look like a pennant or flag, it was super easy to do! The great thing about the washi tape, is that it is easy to move around if you don't put it in the right spot the first time.

Display Board Samples: Gingham Garden

This week I will be sharing with you the samples that I did for the Convention Display boards, using the Gingham Garden Suite of products.

On this scrapbook page I used the Wildflower Meadow stamp, the Gingham Garden Designer Series paper and the Simply Pressed Clay and Clay molds.

Winnipeg Trip: Part Two

After we returned from Hecla, we spent a few more days playing and having fun in Winnipeg.

The boys and I went to a park right around the corner from Grandma & Grandpa's house.

We met up with my friend Cher and her son Hurley for a morning of fun!

One of our favorite things to do is go for a swim at Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa's pool. It is definitely a highlight for the boys!!
We swam for a couple hours each day.

Jakob wanted to have a pool party at Great-Grandma's & Great-Grandpa's to celebrate his 10th birthday. Grandma put together a fabulous party for Jakob, he was so happy!

All of the Great-grand kids at Jake's pool party.

Happy Birthday!!!

The kids Nature Playground in Assiniboine Park is a fun place to spend a morning. We met Cher and Hurley again for a little outing to the park.

That wraps up our visit to Winnipeg. We had a great visit with family and friends!!

Winnipeg Trip: Part One

This summers trip to Winnipeg was very eventful! We arrived in Winnipeg and spent a day hanging out, playing at Grandma & Grandpa's and getting ready for our weekend getaway. On Friday, our whole Bollman family - Grandma & Grandpa, Scott, Marnie, Sophie & Henry and our family of 5 went to Hecla for 4 days. We had a great time away as a family. We were super busy and had so much fun!
This post is really long and has a lot of pictures :)

On Friday when we arrived, after we checked into our hotel, we went to the driving range. The 3 oldest boys each hit a couple of balls, while Zack and I watched.

Family picture!

Then to the practice putting green.

After supper, we went to the water park in the hotel. This was quite the amazing water park! There was a 3 storey waterslide, a lazy river, an area to swim and an area for little kids to play. The boys loved it and we were in there everyday for a few hours each day.

On Saturday, while the Grandpa, Scott & Michael went golfing;

Grandma, Marnie and I went exploring with the kids. We played at the lake;

and all over the hotel grounds.

After lunch, it was back to the water park again!

That evening after supper, we made a fire, hung out and roasted marshmallows.

Sunday morning we took a nature walk. It was a nice walk along a trail, through bush,

and by the lake,

all the way to the light house on the point of the island.

All 11 of us!

When we got back to the hotel, we ordered lunch by the outdoor pool. It was a beautiful, hot day and we all enjoyed spending the afternoon in the outdoor pool!

Another family picture Sunday evening before dinner:

Monday morning it was back to the water park for a couple of hours while Grandpa and Michael golfed. After lunch we were on our way back home.

On the way home, we stopped at the beach in Gimli so the kids could play in the sand and on the playground for a bit.

We packed so many activities into each day that the kids fell into bed each night exhausted! It was a great family weekend together!!
