Winnipeg: Part Two

When we left for Winnipeg, we knew Michael's Grandma Bollman was very sick (she was 93). While we were there, on Sunday evening she passed away. Since the whole family was gathered for the family reunion, most everyone from out of town was able to attend the funeral. Even though it was sad, it was nice that all of Grandma's children and grandchildren were together to celebrate her life.
Here's a picture of Grandma & Grandpa Bollman with Jakob when he was a baby:

After the funeral was over, we spent a couple more days in Winnipeg.

Assiniboine Nature Park is one of the boys' favorite places to visit in Winnipeg:

We also had a really nice visit with Michael's Grandma & Grandpa Barber:

Paper Pumpkin - August 2015

August's Paper Pumpkin kit was so fantastic!! I love all the elements that came in it! I really like the stamp set that came with it, but I needed baby cards. So I substituted some (retired) baby sentiments instead.

I changed up the kit slightly:
The kit was set up to have note sized cards, I took each card and cut it in half. Then I had double the amount of the gold/pink or gold/cream shiny paper :) Then I layered it on Pink Pirouette or Very Vanilla for a full sized card.

All I added that wasn't in the kit to the next 2 cards, was the button and gold thread.

Again, just a button, some bakers twine & gold sequins added to the already fabulous kit elements!

For this last card, I cut one of the boxes up to add another layer. I also added a few strips of DSP, buttons, gold sequins and bakers twine.
This card uses the stamp set that came with the kit.

Thanks for checking out my Paper Pumpkin projects!

Winnipeg: Part One

Our annual summer Winnipeg trip was a blast! The kids always have so much fun with their cousins.
We started out our trip with a swim in Grandma & Grandpa's neighbours pool.
So much fun!

Then was the family reunion:

There is a great playground about a 20 minute walk from Grandma & Grandpa's house, it's the boys' favorite playground ever! It reminds them of "American Ninja Warrior". So they race and pretend they are on the show :)

On Monday we celebrated Jakob's birthday with the family. First we went to Grand Prix to go on the go-carts, bumper boats and batting cages.

Then we went back to Grandma & Grandpa's for a bbq and cupcakes!

Happy Birthday, Jakob!

The Bollman cousins:

Part 2... coming soon!

Bollman Family Reunion 2015

On the August long weekend we traveled to Winnipeg for a Bollman family reunion. Michael's Uncle Brian did a great job organizing the event. We all had a lot of fun!

All of the Bollman relatives:

Our immediate Bollman family:

The kids played outside a lot... soccer, on the the playground and other games around the community center.

One of Michael's second cousins arranged a 'minute to win it' game for the kids:

One of the family's put together a little skit:

There were lots of events over the course of the weekend! It was nice to see all the aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids that we don't get to see very often.

Convention Display Board Projects 2015

For the display boards this year, I made 9 projects. 4 scrapbook pages and 5 cards. I love making display board samples!

This scrapbook page used the Cherry on Top Designer Series paper, Epic Alphabet stamp set and Watercolor Words stamp set:

Again, the Cherry on Top Designer series paper, Cherry on Top Washi tape and the Watercolor Words stamp set were used on this page:

I really fell in love with the Greetings Thinlits! I used them on several of my projects:

The title on this page is from the Hello Life stamp set. I also used the Cherry on Top Designer series paper and Cherry on Top Washi tape:

Watercolor Words is such a versatile set:

Greetings Thinlits and the Butterfly Thinlits look great together!

Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and Watercolor Words stamp set... for a wedding or anniversary card:

This card features the Greetings Thinlits, Butterfly Thinlits and the Dotty Angles stamp set.

I love this card! I used the watercolor paper and an aqua painter to create the background. The 'hello' is from Greetings Thinlits, the 'sunshine' from the Crazy About You stamp set and then the butterfly is the Elegant Butterfly punch.

Thanks so much for letting me share my projects with you :)
