October's Paper Pumpkin kit has so many cute elements in it! It is designed to make little boxes, but I broke it down and used the pieces to make a few cards and a scrapbook page. Here is what I came up with from this month's kit:

Zack's Birthday Date
Tuesday last week, Zack and I went just the 2 of us on a birthday date. Zack picked the water park and Build-a-Bear for his day.
First up - West Edmonton Mall Waterpark! We had a great day swimming and splashing in the waves, riding the slides and playing in the giant kids water playland.
Zack was jumping and riding the waves just like he was in Hawaii!
Zack's favorite part was this spinning ball. He went inside and it spun around, he had to run or slide to keep up to it.
Next up - Build-a-Bear. Zack picked a cute "Spidey-Bear". He got to stuff his bear and then dress him up too!
Zack and I had a great birthday "date" together!

Zack's Family Birthday Party
On Sunday it was Zack's birthday. It worked out great that we could have his family party on his actual birthday!
This year he requested a Disney "Planes" theme. He also wanted chocolate cupcakes and pumpkin pie for his birthday dessert. Great! I was happy, both are super easy to do.
Chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel icing:
Another one of Zack's requests was a surprise party. He knew we were having a party, so that wasn't much of a surprise, but I convinced him that it would only be the 7 of us (our family, plus Grandma & Grandpa). Michael took Zack with him to pick up dinner and when they got back, my parents and grand parents had arrived, so we jumped out and yelled "surprise!".
I think he was pretty happy:
After dinner I planned a little game for the the 5 oldest kids.
They had clues to find, until they found their treat bags.
Found them!
Happy 5th birthday Zack!!!!

Zack's MDS Birthday Invite
For the boys' family birthday party, I usually like to do a picture invite. That way all the Grandparents/Great-Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles, etc have a current picture (and age) of the birthday boy. I find the easiest way to do that is with my MDS program. I whipped up this quick invite in less than 10 minutes! This years picture invite features Zacks picture and age on the front and on the back are all the details for the party.
Super simple and cute!

Girls Trip - Las Vegas
This past week a few of my friends and I went to Las Vegas for 5 days. It was a wonderful trip! We relaxed by the pool, shopped, went to a Boys II Men concert and went out for dinner every night - a perfect girls getaway. Here are a few pictures from our trip:
