Convention 2014 Display Project - Kinda Eclectic #2

It's no secret that I love butterflies. Most of my favorite stamp sets have a butterfly or 2 in them. So most of my cards that I made with the Kinda Eclectic stamp set, have a butterfly on them :)

The colors on this card are Pool Party, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral & Gold. The arrow and the saying on this card are embossed with Gold embossing powder. I colored the 2 rhinestones on the flowers with the Coastal Cabana Blendability. Also to add a bit of texture, I sewed around the Whisper White card stock.

All the display board samples are amazing! Go check out what everyone else is doing:

Convention 2014 Display Project - Kinda Eclectic #1

Next up are all the projects I made for the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. Starting today with a scrapbook page. This is a great set too! So many fun images that can be used in a variety of ways.

I love this scrapbook page! It's so bright and fun! I wanted to make something that wasn't so "girly". I find a lot of stamp sets are too girly to make boy pages. I used 2 images from this stamp set that worked perfectly for a boy page.
I used the Skinny Mini Alphabet & the Project Life Remember This stamp sets for the title.

Color combo: Pool Party, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi & Tangerine Tango.

Golf Camp

Jakob and Levi were in a golf camp this past week. They had so much fun! It was a great golf camp - lots of practice at the driving range, putting, chipping and playing out on the course. It's definitely the best golf camp they have been to.

I love that these 2 are best friends. They play so well together and they have fun together!

Each morning when we picked up the boys, Zack did a little putting practice. He can't wait until he's old enough to golf too!

Convention 2014 Display Project - Amazing Birthday #7

The second 3D project for the Amazing Birthday set, is this cute little coffee cup. I added lots of extra bling to this project, the gold sequins ribbon, a gold clothespin and the gold bakers twine. I'm not normally a gold person, but I love navy and gold together!
This little coffee cup fits a gift card perfectly, or you could fill it with chocolates or any kind of treat.

Convention 2014 Display Project - Amazing Birthday #3

Hi! Welcome back! Today's card was also made using the Amazing Birthday stamp set. The little tag says "So THANKFUL for every bit of you". It's a great thank you stamp that says a little more than just "Thank You." I keep coming back to this stamp and use it all the time!

The colors on this card are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.

Convention 2014 Display Project - Amazing Birthday #2

More Amazing Birthday! Today's card features the colors Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey & Whisper White. The background on this card is the new Moonlight Designer Series paper stack and the clothespin is from the 2014-2016 In Color Clothespins.
This image is so versatile! It can be stamped as is, or like I have done below. I stamped it out in several colors and then layered it so it had a color blocking feel to it.

Convention 2014 Display Project - Amazing Birthday #1

Over the next few weeks, I will be showing you all of the samples that I made for this years Stampin' Up convention display boards. I love making samples for the display boards, it is one of my favorite things to do!!
I really liked all 3 of the stamp sets that we worked with this year. My favorite stamp set though, was "Amazing Birthday". There are so many great images in the set and they are so fun!

The first project that I'm sharing with you is the scrapbook page I made using Amazing Birthday. I changed the main image to say "You make everyday ridiculously amazing", by adding the YOU with the Metro Type Alphabet set and the EVERYDAY with the Skinny Mini Alphabet set.
I just love Zack's smile on this picture!

The colors on this page are inspired by the Confetti Celebration Designer Series paper. I used Basic Grey, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist & Whisper White.

Here are all the other display stampers, if you would like to check out their samples as well. Just click on their name and it will take you directly to their blog. Enjoy!

Family Camp 2014

Every year, we go out to the lake for a week of church Family Camp. This year we were in our new cabin and it was great! We had the best week!
The week started out cool and rainy. The boys watched a movie or two, splashed in the puddles and got really muddy. I was so busy dealing with very muddy boys and clothes that I didn't take any pictures of the mud :(

Then the sun came out!! The rest of the week was beautiful and sunny.

The boys and I ate lunch and supper out on the deck every day.

One of the things that the boys love best about the lake is the yellow raft. They swim there and back several times a day.

Jake loves jumping off of it:

And it's really fun when the raft is loaded with friends!

Our friends Rick and Sarah have a boat and they invited us to join them. It was so much fun! There is nothing better than good friends sharing a beautiful day!!

Of course, us Mom's had to show the kids how it's done!

The boys wanted to fall off the tube, so Rick was happy to help them out with that!

Zack made a new friend and played for hours with her. It was really cute :)

Michael came out on the weekends and Canada Day. This picture was us on our last day. What a great time we had this year! We are all looking forward to next year already!!

We came home and the boys said they had the best week. They are all exhausted from a very, very busy week :)
